Ellen Dewhurst - A Life Cut Short By Involuntary Euthanasia Using Midazolam/Morphine In The UK NHS.

OUR GOVERNMENT ARE CULLING THE ELDERLY AND VULNERABLE. IF YOU HAVE FAMILY GOING INTO A UK HOSPITAL YOU NEED TO READ THIS! THIS IS A HEART_BREAKING STORY FROM HER DAUGHTER.

My mother was taken into Blackburn Royal hospital in July 2021 with breathing problems associated with her COPD. They told us she was getting better then on the 14^th of July they rang and left a message on my answer machine stated my mother had taken a turn for the worse and I should call them, when I returned the call they said my mother was very poorly I asked the question, is she going to die they replied yes. 

I made my way to the hospital to find my mother had been put on midazolam and morphine I voiced my concerns they stated it was settling her I disagreed with them, my mother had the death rattle by this stage. When my mother saw me she said I dont want to die, she also told me she had rang Gillian and her mum then the police. 

I demanded that they arrange for her to go home if she was dying, she would want to be at home. Family was with my mum from 11am until she got an ambulance to take her home (she had a driver in her with morphine and midazolam in it before going home ) and in all that time nobody came with a drink or food for her. 

Once she was home, I asked her if she wanted something to eat, she said yes, she had a small amount of chicken soup some tiramisu and a drink of coke. she passed away at 6-20 the following morning 15^th July 2021. My mother was just over 6 stone she had always been of slight build.

After her death I rang the police about her calls they gave me a log number but wouldn't tell me the contents, when the coroner rang I said I suspected foul play and told him about the calls, when he came back to me he said my mum was saying she was being held against her will and wanted to go home he then said a nurse came on the phone to say everything was ok , I then said to him just because a nurse says its ok shouldn't mean it is, he said if I wanted an autopsy it would just show she had died from her COPD.

I couldn't stand the thought of them cutting my mother up, I requested a meeting at the hospital I got a meeting on 18^th January with DR Anwar the doctor that had wrote her up for the drugs, Sister Leanne Smith and Matron Tracy Barnes-Clark. I raised a number of questions about the way they had treated my mother and the lack of consent in my opinion, the answers I got were not satisfactory for me,

My mother knew they were killing her that's why they rang the police, I don't believe they received informed consent from my mother as they stated she was in an agitated and confused state also there are crossings out on her mar charts their reasoning for this is that they took the drugs to my mother and she refused them I beg to differ and I know that mar charts get completed once you have administered the medication. 

Due to me not being satisfied with the reply I have now taken my case to the ombudsman in August of 2022, I am still awaiting a result from them.

I love and miss my mother dearly and in my opinion she would not have died if she had stayed at home and not gone into hospital
